This year the Englefield Lecture is being given by Professor Nicholas Orme, Emeritus Professor of Medieval History at the University of Exeter. He is speaking on the subject of his acclaimed book, Going to Church in Medieval England - what did churches look like, what were services like, were there seats? And what about the clergy?
