Helping the Trust
Corporate Membership - Many churches are subscribers to the Trust at a minimum annual subscription of £25. These churches get priority when grants are being allocated. They also receive a copy of the Annual Report and and invitation to the Annual General Meeting.
Individual Membership - Individuals and businesses are encouraged to subscribe, preferably by covenant, which increases the value of the gift and allows the Trust to budget ahead.
Ride + Stride - The annual sponsored cycle, run or walk is the Trust's main source of income. It is held on a Saturday during the first half of September in conjunction with sponsored bicycle rides organised by other County Trusts across the country. The people who take part donate half of the money they make from sponsorship to the church of their choice and half to the Trust. It is the biggest single ecumenical event in England.
Other Events and Activities - From time to time other events are organised by the Trust and any productive help with fund raising is always welcome.
Christmas Cards - Our Christmas cards are all images of Berkshire churches. They are sold by mail order and in the Cards for Good Causes shops in Reading, Newbury, Hungerford and Sunninghill. If you are not on our mailing list please contact Erica Harman at 01635 253786 or ej.harman2@btinternet.com
Annual General Meeting - The Annual General Meeting is combined with a tour of churches which the Trust has helped, culminating in tea and evensong.
